Privacy Policy

Last updated: 25 July 2026

AlertEnu is operated by Kiran sp. z o.o. ("we", "us"). This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use the AlertEnu app and website, why we collect it, who processes it on our behalf, and how you can delete it. We collect only what the service needs to work. We do not sell personal data, we show no advertising, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

What we collect

  • Account details: your email address, the display name you choose, and optionally a phone number and a profile picture you upload. Your password is stored only as a salted hash.
  • Your contacts, if you add them: the names, email addresses and phone numbers you enter into your in-app address book to invite people later. We never read your phone's contact list.
  • Content you send: the title, text and optional link of every alert you publish, and the channels you create.
  • Subscriptions: which channels you follow, and whether you have muted them.
  • Device push tokens: the identifier your device gives us so we can deliver notifications to it.
  • Moderation records: if you report an alert, we keep the report, your reason, and a copy of the reported text; if you block someone, we keep that block so we can honour it.
  • Your timezone: so scheduled alerts fire at the wall-clock time you picked.

We do not collect your location, and we run no analytics or crash-reporting SDK in the app.

Why we use it

Everything above is used for one purpose: to run the service you signed up for. That means authenticating you, delivering the alerts you subscribe to, letting channel owners reach the people who opted in, keeping the service safe by acting on reports and blocks, and sending you the account emails you need (email confirmation, password reset, invitations). We do not use your data for advertising or profiling.

Who processes it for us

  • Google Firebase Cloud Messaging delivers push notifications. It receives your device token and the content of each alert sent to you.
  • Brevo sends our transactional emails and receives your email address and the content of those emails.
  • Cloudflare Turnstile protects the signup form from bots and may process your IP address and browser signals during registration.

Each of them processes data only on our instructions. Our servers are hosted in the European Union.

Who can see what

Channel owners and administrators can see the display names of their subscribers, never their email addresses. Other subscribers see only the display name of whoever sent an alert. Your email is visible only to you and to us.

Subscriptions and push

Subscribing to a channel grants push permission for that channel. You can mute or leave any channel at any time from the app; leaving stops all notifications from it immediately.

How long we keep it

We keep your data for as long as you have an account. Unclaimed invitations are deleted automatically when they expire. Moderation records are kept while the account they concern exists, so that repeat behaviour can be recognised.

Deletion

You can delete your account at any time from the Account page in the app. Deletion removes your profile, contacts, subscriptions and device tokens, and revokes your sessions. Alerts you sent to channels you do not own remain with the channel, attributed to a removed user, because the channel owner and its subscribers received them as their own history.

Children

AlertEnu is not directed at children. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you believe a child under 13 has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you may ask us to access, correct, export or erase your personal data, or to restrict or object to how we process it, and you may complain to your local data protection authority. Most of this you can do yourself in the app; for anything else, write to info@alertenu.com.

Changes

We will update this policy as the service develops; material changes are reflected in the "last updated" date above.
